Sur une table est posé au centre un pichet en faience bleue orné de motifs floraux blancs. Il attire immédiatement le regard par sa couleur intense et sa position centrale. Juste à côté une poterie blanche avec une cuillère en métal plantée à l’intérieur, des pommes colorées et sur la gauche, une assiette avec du raisin. Le contraste avec le fond du tableau d’un vert olive patiné et le rendu réaliste des objets est superbe. Il se dégage une élégante simplicité du tableau.
Le tableau montre quelques signes d’usure, avec des éclats de peinture visibles, et des traces de coulures.
